About

Capital for African merchants, inside the platforms they use

Gizo Ltd is a technology company in Nairobi, Kenya. We build the software that lets platforms offer advances to their merchants.

Why Gizo

Merchants have sales data. They do not have collateral.

Most small businesses in Africa sell every day through a platform. They take mobile money, they sell through a marketplace, or they buy stock from a distributor.

Banks ask these businesses for collateral and financial statements. Most do not have them. So they do not get capital to grow.

The platform already sees their sales. Gizo uses that data, with the merchant's consent, to price an advance. Partner lenders fund it. The merchant repays from sales.

Gizo Ltd is registered in Kenya. Our office is on the 4th Floor, Centro House, Westlands Square, Nairobi.

Our rules

How we build Gizo

01 RULE

We show the charge, the total and the APR before a merchant accepts. No small print.

02 RULE

Repayment follows sales. We do not set payments a merchant cannot make.

03 RULE

We use merchant data only with consent, and only to price and service advances.

04 RULE

We say what is live and what is planned. Today, Gizo is in early access.
